Onward and Upward (O&U) in an online workshop hosted by Amy of Lemon and Raspberry (and co-host of 30 Days of Lists).
This is one of those workshops you take when you want to make changes, when you want to do better, when you want to forward…when you want to go onward and upward.
This is not one of those workshops you take when you want to stay where you are, when you want to do the minimum amount of work possible, when you want to spend more time thinking of excuses…when you want to stay where you are.
I’ll assume you’re the kind of person who wants to do more, who has goals, and is ready to take the next steps…
…and you don’t want to start the journey alone…
Onward and Upward brings people together in an intimate setting (or as intimate as you can get in an online workshop), the class size is low, and the connections are deep. The responses to lessons and discussion topics aren’t short and sweet, they’re riddled with questions, advice, worry, inspiration, and that united drive to keep going. The comments sections of posts turn into mini-chat rooms, with numerous responses from participants. You won’t need to worry about time-zone differences, I remember commenting (and getting responses) from posts several days behind the current postings.
Are you more of a lurker? This is your chance to experiment with joining (or even starting!) a conversation. Maybe you don’t know what to say at first, that’s okay! Read through the comments, see if you agree, disagree, have advice, or maybe even share your experience with a certain topic. This is for you just as much as it is for everybody else.
When I took the workshop last year, I really enjoyed the time I was able to curl up on the couch with a cup of something warm and really dive in to the posts. I soaked in the discussion, fondly remembering similar discussions in graduate school, and thought of the best ways for me to join in and contribute to the conversation. Contributing was really important to me, I wanted to make sure that I was putting the same amount of energy into the workshop as the others…it was a high priority for me, if you will.
How is it different than last year’s workshop?
This year it is 8 weeks long instead of 6, there will be some posts available in an audio format, and this time you’ll be registered…yes, you. You’ll probably want to register for this workshop.
Will you be participating in this year’s Onward and Upward workshop?
