You’ll never do a whole lot unless you’re brave enough to try.
Where did this come from? That darn Lululemon tote with the company manifesto on it…the part that says, “Do one thing every day that scares you.”
I repeated this to myself throughout 2012…as I walked into the yoga studio for the first time, when I published my first ebook, when I went to a few Bikram yoga classes by myself, when we went canyoneering, and a handful of other times.
I wanted to remind myself to be brave. That I’m stronger than I think (thanks to I Kill Giants, that quote is on my mind these days, too).
So why not bring brave into 2013? I’m sure I could use it.
I want to be brave enough to:
- take greater leaps of faith
- do more things on my own
- step out of my comfort zone
- ask for help when I need it
- focus on climbing and yoga
- donate/recycle/toss items I’ve been holding onto (maybe a smidge of hoarding) for years, “just in case”
I’ll be documenting my OLW this year way better than I documented Focus. I signed up for Ali Edwards’ ecourse/workshop and am looking forward to being more thoughtful about this challenge. I’m looking into getting another necklace. Or maybe a toe ring…are those still a thing? I feel like I would dig looking at it while in yoga class…Maybe I’ll have to be brave and be the girl with a toe ring? Hmm.
Do you have a One Little Word for 2013?
Will you be documenting your OLW? If so, how?
Feel free to leave a link to your OLW blog post in the comments section below.
