Creative Writing Prompts iPhone App - Campfire Chic

Write365 on the App Store

I’ve been keeping a secret from you. Alex and I have been working on a BIG project over the past few months and I’m so excited to finally announce it to Campfire Chic readers!

We built an iPhone app!

Write365 is a fast, simple, and fun way to get over writer’s block.

The Write365 app was built for creative writers and bloggers looking for inspiration for the next story or blog post. It is a simple yet addictive creative writing tool for Creatives. With a simple tap, unleash hundreds of creative writing prompts specifically designed to battle writer’s block and inspire original storytelling.

Write365 iPhone App for Bloggers - Campfire Chic

The app is super simple…open it up when you feel like you’re in a rut, tap “Get Inspired” and a creative writing prompt will appear on your screen! No distractions. No gestures to remember. Simply tap, get inspired, and write.

As somebody who is on the go and may not have a notebook in my bag, I love that Alex included an “email this topic idea” button that automatically pulls up an email with the writing prompt included in the body of the message — I can start drafting my blog post straight in my email and send it to myself! How cool is that?

App Instructions

Write365 is based on the Three Sixty-Five: Ideas for Blog Posts, Scrapbook Pages, and Art Journal Entries ebook. The app is a stripped down version of the ebook designed to quickly get you from writer’s block to writing machine. That’s what this app is all about…getting you writing and creating!

About You: A Simple Guide to Writing About Yourself with Confidence

Do you find it difficult to write about yourself?

Are you unsure of what to include in your blog’s About Page or in your shop’s profile?

Do you struggle with describing what it is you do?

Let me help you write about yourself with confidence!

About YOU: A simple guide to writing about yourself with confidence is a 20+ page ebook focused on you and your story. It’s clear and concise, because you’re busy and want to make changes right away. The ebook progresses quickly and reinforces lessons in each chapter, because practice is awesome!

This was an awesome ebook to create and I have Campfire Chic readers to thank for inspiring me to put it together. I saw that there is a need for a guide about writing about pages and author bios for guest blog posts and decided to stop waiting around for somebody else to write the guide and wrote it myself.

Because sometimes waiting is part of the problem.

So here it is! A no-frills ebook that covers:

  • Brand narrative
  • About page
  • Author bio
  • Your social media profiles
  • Interviews
  • About for projects

…and much more. I share my super-easy formula for writing an author bio for guest blog posts, safety considerations, and why you shouldn’t feel icky about writing about yourself.
About You BUNDLE If you’re anything like me, you probably work best when there is a workbook that works with an ebook like this…I’ve got you covered!

The eworkbook includes:

  • guided journaling prompts
  • plenty of room for note-taking
  • worksheets that correspond with each chapter

Creative journaling challenge

If you are new to Campfire Chic, I am one of the co-founders behind 30 Days of Lists, a semi-annual creative journaling challenge for people who love to make lists.

At the end of each challenge, Amy and I have a feedback form for participants (we call them Listers) and we get the same request each round: PLEASE do a holiday version of #30Lists!

I have a BIG BIG announcement:
Amy and I will be hosting a December 30 Days of Lists!

30 Days of Lists Returns December 2013

We are thrilled to be able to finally bring an end-of-the-year challenge to Listers! Amy and I do December Daily™ each year so it only feels right that we band together and mix the two projects together — 30 Days of Lists in December!

Registration will open in a few weeks, but this is what you can expect:

  • 30 daily list prompts for the 30 days of December
  • Private blog where the daily list prompts will be posted (no daily email will be sent)
  • A look at our daily lists to see our different styles
  • Guest posts from our Ambassadors and sponsors*
  • The quick-and-easy-no-pressure challenge you know and love

If you’re wondering: the lists are not particularly holiday-themed. There are many special days throughout December, like Ice Cream Day, so how you interpret that day’s list prompt is up to you…there is no wrong way to do 30 Days of Lists!

Want to find out more?
Subscribe to our mailing list and be the first to get important news!

*Are you interested in sponsoring 30 Days of Lists? There are many benefits, including ad space in our registration packet, on the private blog, and in at least one newsletter blast (that reaches over 2,000 Listers). Please contact us if you are interested.

I was inspired to finish two projects that have been on the backburner for since moving Campfire Chic to a self-hosted WordPress site…so, quite a few months now.

I was really proud of the exhaustive list of all tutorials, DIY projects, and resources made available on my last site, but that page was lost in the transition to this new site. I thought of it as an opportunity to start new and possibly make things a little fancy…fancy is an excuse to not finish a project, so I sat down and re-created the page last week.

The second project I finished last week was something new to Campfire Chic – a resources page! What is a resource page? It’s a page that I created that has a ton of links to helpful sites, products, and services that help make Campfire Chic go. From a marketing resources, to an awesome designer, to where to get adventure-gear on the cheap.

A list of great resources for blogging and business - Campfire Chic

This is project had me so excited when I finally finished that I decided to make it public before getting all of my links on the page – I figure I’ll be updating this page on a regular basis, why not get it going and then update it this week sometime?

I love sharing what I find with Campfire Chic readers – there is no reason for me to be unwilling to share what I learn! I included the sites I use to make our camping reservations, the flash sale sites that help us prepare for our trips on the cheap, ebooks focused on marketing, what I use for blogging, and more. Check out the resources page here.

It’s an awesome resource for Campfire Chic readers and I’m already planning on a few additional things to add to it. But most importantly, I want to know what you are interested in seeing on the resources page. Email me with your suggestions.

DIY projects, tutorials, and recipes - Campfire Chic

Like I mentioned earlier, the old Campfire Chic blog had a great page with a TON of links to all of the tutorials and recipes available on the site. I sat down and recreated the page here, and I’m looking forward to adding more projects to it in the coming months. Many of the posts featured on this page are guest blog posts, if you are interested in pitching a guest post that could be added to this list, please review these guest post guidelines.

I organized the page so you can easily find craft tutorials, home projects, photography & iphoneography projects, scrapbooking, and recipes. It’s a pretty big list, so here are some of my favorites for this time of the year:

I’m really happy to share these two new pages with you and am looking forward to getting more helpful things up and available to you. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or requests!
